Today Pat handed me a black 30gig Ipod for my birthday present. My man apparently pays attention to what I like.

I am hoping my brother has a chance to take a photo of himself in Saddams palace. One like this would be awesome, but I know things have changed since this photo was taken, and headquarters have been established in the palace my brother is at, but still wouldnt it be great to come home from Iraq with this type of photo in your pocket?

Notice the people standing by the planes. This 737 production line is amazing. When the line moves all the stair fixtures move with the plane. I will be working in another building called the saw tooth building. Thats where the wing production happens. The building isnt this big but comes close. Right now I am in classes getting all my certifications that are FAA mandantory that allows me to work on aircraft.

Working at Boeing is like hitting the lottery. It has changed so much its all computerized. It is the definition of factory with all the automation. But the more things change the more they stay the same. Its still the same, drilling and filling.
It still takes me 15 minutes walk from my car to my shop. Its a 1/2 mile walk just to get into the building. Then its another 1/4 mile to the other end where my classroom is located. I still am in awe of the"how'd they do that" concept when I walk across the factory and see 5 of the 737s lined up nose to tail with wings, landing gear and tail section already attached
and the line is MOVING!

Some things you just cant grasp the reality of it untill you see it in action. If I can stand on the factory floor and be in total awe of something that man made...........
it really puts the grandure of God 's creation into perspctive.

Vacation Over!

This is the last day of my unenjoyment vacation.
No more lounging by the pool and eating bon-bons.
As of tomorrow my vacation is OVER!

Flying Carpets

Dangit I hate doing blogs you never know what creep might be reading it but Its the only way I can post comments on my little bros blogspot so I figured its worth it to communicate with my brother.

Wow, I have an awesome brother who is going to Irag. Pat and I have always been Patriotic in that we actually go to the pro-war rallies and we take our favorite Old Glory that flew over the US capitol, its a HUGE flag. When I first heard that Rob was going to Iraq my sis called me and told me that she doesnt remember ever seeing an ship parked in the middle of Baghdad. Too funny because why on earth would the navy send him to the middle of the desert. Hey we figured he pissed off the wrong person! Rob, however you got there, be safe. oh yeah and Pat wants to talk to you about some flying carpet.
